Oquirrh Shadows Temple

Nicalee, my sister, and I took our kids to the open house of the Oquirrh Shadows Temple. It was so beautiful. Even an undedicated temple has so much peace to offer, inside of it. The White on White color scheme and the star chandeliers (Which I learned were representational of the Orders of the Priesthood) were my favorites.
The girls were cute.

The boys were annoying.

We did our best to ignore it.

I love to see the Temple! I hope that my children remember these times and that it is helping them t0 have a foundation of a testimony in the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Thank you, Nic, for being such a great sister and going even when you were uncomfortable pregnant!

Rob's Many Hobbies

My husband is the King of all Hobbies. He does hunting, fly-fishing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, motorcycle riding, paint balling, and now rock climbing/repelling. I'm sure I forgot ten or twenty other hobbies he pursues. He put the Young Men that he serves at church into Rock Creation classes and when they completed them...he, of course, purchased harnesses and all equipment needed for our entire family! (While I was away at Girl's Camp, mind you) So, you can guess what we have been doing for Family Home Evening every Monday since and sometimes on Saturdays :). The kids love it and two have made it to the top of the Kamas Rec Center wall. (Gracie many times, but then that is so her)
At this point, Brody realized how high he was (35-40 feet up) and had a come-apart! It was hilarious and a little heartbreaking, but he made it down with Daddy's strong hold. In Brody's words "Mommy, you don't have enough muscles, let me down." Even though I have shown them that I can belay Rob no problem (he even fell off the wall, close to the top, once and I held him just fine.). They still lack confidence in my "muscles". Maybe that signals a deep seeded lack of trust in me, eh? I should call Tyler and ask.

This is the boy climbing
Avery prefered to climb without her harness, just a little and then jump off. Is for fun.
Me, hooking up Avery.
I'm done, Mom! I wanna come down!
Goob, after reaching the top the first time, yeah!
There are bells at the top of each climb, this is Gracie ringing one of them. She is determined to ring the cowbell, which is at the top of a rock only, no handholds portion.

I have been very neglectful, as of late, and I am sorry! Last week I went to Girl's Camp and before that I let it (my responsabilities) take over my life and my head. That is so rare with me, I know, because I am SO not intense. Do you sense my sarcasm? I am laying it on pretty thick.

Here are some random pictures of the things that have happened...
We've had some quality cuddling since Mommy came home
My one and only pic of Girl's Camp, it was so busy...I just never got my camera back out. I took this with my cell phone on the day before the hike, when I was taking the hike to make sure no one would get lost. We only had two injuries, pretty good...right? One was a testimony of prayers for the girls, as they prayed that someone would come and take this injured girl back to camp...and, literally right then a missionary on a 4-wheeler came. They were all very touched and told me..."Kristine, we prayed and he came!". I wish all prayers were answered in such a timely fashion, I'm glad that one was.
Gracie had her field trip to The Planetarium at Gateway. The best was just riding the bus with her and having a little Gracie time.
Brody and Avery both had their Pre-School field trips, to the ZOO and the Children's Museum at Gateway. Both were very cool and fun for the munchkins.

Avery and Brody had their own little Graduation Ceremonies, Avery from Pre-School and Brody's (Thank goodness it's over and the teacher is still breathing) movin on to the next year ceremony.

This is their teacher, she does a fantastic job.
That is everything I missed updating on for May and June (so far). I hope all is well with you, my blogging friends!
