Scapels and Me, by Kristine Watterson

So, I went into the dermatologist today to look at a funny mole that popped up on my right shin. Nope, nothing serious...just a scar from an ingrown hair. You know you are loving this post so far. Anyway, he wanted to shave it off and test it. I thought, why not get rid of the witches mole on the end of my nose that I have detested since I was thirteen? He said, sure! I ashamedly told him that I had cut it off with fingernail clippers six times. (What I won't due for vanity's sake) After he finished laughing, he told me it was possible it might grow back again anyway. I decided it was worth a try. I now am the proud owner of a dark red, perfectly round, raw spot on my nose. Did I mention I get to wear a really pretty, flesh colored bandaid? I am rockin this bandaid. Seriously, is it wrong to pray that the mole won't grow back? I hope not, because I already did.

YW/YM Wednesday Night Fever!

These are two of my fabulouso Young Women and their fantastic icecream sculpture...

This is what my babies do while Mom and Dad serve...play in the nursery in their jammies! (Straight to bed when we get home!)

This is how we entertain ourselves...scary. I do believe I, personally, have never looked more attractive. Try not to be green with envy.

Christmas Morning...2008

Thank you Santa for my Ironman Hoodie, I absolutely refuse to take it off. Mommy has to sneak it out for washing, when I am asleep. Good Job Santa Man!

I have loved having many more toys in my room so that I can further isolate myself from all mankind to talk to my toys and stuffed animals! (As I type this I am crying and wondering if therapy is in the future...)

Getting just what I asked for (an ipod shuffle) was the best, especially in my favorite color green!

Our Christmas Jammies were extra comfy, this year!
We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and have had a Happy New Year, so far! I know it's late, but hey we had a lot going on! Love, The Watterson Family :)

Holy Packaging Materials, Batman!

Think they had this much fun with their presents? NOPE!!
Next year, I'm going to wrap up some packaging materials and call it good!

It seems like just five weeks ago!

I have been a very bad blogger and all who read this have my sincere apologies! I am feeling much better with the three weeks under my belt! With the passage of time comes much needed updating...Back to Christmas!
Gracie's program was on Dec. 18th (My fab Mom's B-day, incidentally). I did go and take pictures, but they were blurry...she was a little dutch girl in a cute production and did a stand up job of it!
Avery's program was in the Coalville Senior Center, they sang, they danced, they passed out candy bars, we took pictures, we laughed and above all had complete adoration for our little princess! She is suuuuucccccch a girly girl!
Brody didn't do a program, but is fabulous anyway!

Tagged by Deb

I was tagged by fabulous Debra, and since I seemingly can not get my stinkin Christmas pictures on this stinkin blog, I was happy to have something to write...besides the whining that I really want to do about my ribs and all that they entail, of course!
The tag is 10 things I'm Grateful for... (in no particular order)

1. My Ward, People in my Community. I have been blessed with phone calls or visits of concern, dinners, cookies, and so much more...the people here are amazing and I love them!

2. My friends, they've sent flowers, called, texted, brought me movies and books. I am so thankful for good friends. The friends I have are such quality, good people...love them, love them.

3. My Faith. I love living in this time with the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and having been raised in a family that strives to live it. I love having a husband that loves it as much as I do and we are raising our own family and trying our best too. With that, his priesthood and use of it has also been such a comfort and blessing in my life.

4. My Spouse, I know all women love their husbands, but no one loves their husband more than I love Rob! I've gone over all the reasons before,
here.

5. Gracie, she is sunshine in my life and my little, older than her years, buddy. Avery, being with her is so calming and simple. She is my affectionate love muffin. Brody is my joy, that boy makes me happy just to look at him.

6. My home. I love where we live and feel so blessed to be here. I love tucking my kids in at night and looking at this beautiful home that we worked to hard to build. I am thankful that my Mom and Dad in law let us live with them and continue to be great neighbors that we love.

7. My sisters. I wasn't always as close with them, and I think those years were wasted in seeking friends that would love me the way my sisters do. We may bicker, bad talk eachother occasionally, but we would never give up on eachother for anything. It is the most selfless love, next to marital, that I have found with other humans!

8. Talented People. I am so thankful for people with talent that share it with me...be it musical, or spiritual, or teaching, or listening, or compassion, or dance, or loving, or humor...I love it all. It builds my testimony, enriches my soul and makes life lovely.

9. My talents. They are not flashy, but I am thankful for them. They are more useful than I give them credit for.

10. Pictures and Written Word. I am so thankful to not only experience life, but to be able to reflect back on my life and what others have taught me. Being able to learn from the past, because I can see it or read it is a gift.

I tag, and you better do it!...

Three Broken Ribs

This is my, no longer functioning, car. Oh how I loved thee, dear Suburu. Thank you for protecting my daughter and bestowing upon me three broken ribs. I probably won't post much for a couple weeks...this may be the percocet talking, but it's not that bad.
PS. I fishtailed in the slush on the connection between I-80 and I-15 going south, tried to correct, tried again, pummeled across the other lane into the concrete barrier and got T-Boned by a Ford F550. Avery and Brody were with me, and don't have a scratch on them. Not pleasant, but at least the kids are safe and healthy. It was honestly divine intervention that Avery is not seriously injured...that girl was watched over and I am thankful for it.
